The Opportunity
In this rewarding role, you will deliver high-quality teaching and learning sessions aimed at supporting individuals to gain the essential employability skills and personal development qualifications they need to secure sustained employment. Your role will involve teaching a variety of topics, including job search strategies, positive attitudes, health and safety, mental health awareness, personal development, safeguarding, and customer service skills. These areas are vital for learners as they prepare to enter the workforce or progress further in their careers.
You will work closely with learners across South and West Yorkshire, providing them with the support and guidance needed to enhance their employability prospects. The courses are delivered in partnership with Jobcentre Plus and local employers, which means youll be helping people from diverse backgrounds gain the skills they need to move into sustainable, long-term employment.
You will be responsible for tailoring your teaching approach to meet the individual needs of each learner, ensuring that they develop the knowledge, confidence, and skills required for success in their chosen field. You will also have the opportunity to work with local employers, creating links that benefit both the learners and the wider community.
As part of this role, you will ensure learners are fully prepared for the real-world challenges they may face in the workplace by covering essential topics such as safeguarding, British Values, and the Prevent Duty. Additionally, you will focus on improving learners' English and maths skills, which are crucial for both career progression and personal development.
You will be involved in all stages of the learner journey, from conducting initial assessments and delivering inductions to providing continuous support and tracking their progress. This role also includes regularly collecting feedback from learners and employers to evaluate the effectiveness of the courses and ensure we continue to meet their needs.
This role offers a dynamic and fulfilling opportunity to make a real difference in learners lives while supporting their journey into long-term, sustainable employment.
